Grant of Permission and Right to Use

By submitting your story, you confirm that it is truthful, and you take full responsibility for its accuracy.

You hereby grant permission to the Gallery of Human Migration (Gallery) to use all material you sent to the Gallery for marketing and promotional purposes.
It is entirely up to the Gallery to determine whether to publish the submitted story.

Property

You understand that the material you are submitting, in any form or content, will become the property of the Gallery. You acknowledge that the Gallery will have the right to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the material in any media, including but not limited to websites, social media, print materials, and exhibitions, to promote the Gallery of Human Migration and its activities.

You also understand that the Gallery may modify or edit the material as deemed necessary for marketing and promotional purposes while maintaining the integrity and authenticity of your story to the best extent possible.

Not Infringement of Third-Party

You affirm that you have the legal right and authority to grant this permission to the Gallery and that the material you are submitting does not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights of any third-party.

Liability

You release the Gallery of Human Migration, its employees, officers, directors, and agents from any liability or claim that may arise from the use of the material in accordance with this policy. Furthermore, given that the material once made public, may be subject to acquisition and republication by third parties, even without the consent of the Gallery or you, you relieve the Gallery from any detrimental effect that may arise from the abusive or incorrect use of the material by third parties.

No compensation or remuneration

You acknowledge that you will not receive any compensation or remuneration for the use of the material by the Gallery.

Integrated Agreement

You understand that this Uploading Policy is binding on yourself, your heirs, executors, successors, and assigns, and shall be governed by the laws of Canada.

Please follow these General Technical requirements:

Total words:

The total number of words for your personal story of migration would depend on the depth and detail you wish to convey in your tale. As a general guideline, your story should be at a minimum between 800-1700 words.

Images (max 3):

When it comes to images, you can choose relevant visuals that complement your story and enhance the overall reading experience for your audience. Images could include personal photos, or illustrations, that align with the narrative of your story.

The recommended size of the images for web use is typically around 1200 pixels wide for landscape-oriented images, and 800 pixels tall for portrait-oriented images. Photos must be a maximum of 2 mega in JPEG or PNG format. Max 3 photos.
